Energy and networks

What to renew, which deliverable to accept.

Drinking water, wastewater, electricity, gas, heat, telecom. The decision has the same shape: what to treat first, and which deliverable to accept.

France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg.

A wrong acceptance is paid twice: once when the deliverable is received, again when the field has to be redone. Breaks, damage, penalties and rework are the same family of costs, whatever the fluid or the cable.

Since 1 Jan 2026, where a local authority has produced a PCRS, underground network operators use it as the basemap in DT-DICT replies. Surveying everything, everywhere, is not a fundable programme. The decision is where to survey first.

Fibre (FTTH) is one telecom case inside this frame: a GraceTHD check, or assets handed back at the end of a concession. It does not replace the decision for water or energy.

  • Acceptance

Written criteria, shared before delivery, with blocking and non-blocking thresholds.

  • Renewal and maintenance

Criticality and probability, mapped, not held in a spreadsheet on the side.

  • Surveys

Sensitive networks, PCRS already available, works coming: a ranked survey programme.

GEODECI poster. Accepting a wrong network deliverable means paying twice: at handover, then again for field rework. Water, energy, telecom.
Water, energy, telecom: the same acceptance decision.
GEODECI illustration, fictitious map. Sensitive networks, available PCRS, upcoming works, and priority survey areas. Text: mandatory since 1 Jan 2026 where a PCRS exists. Where to survey first?
Illustration. Fictitious map.

Means. QGIS, PostGIS, automated checks. The tool comes after the criterion.

Decision Diagnostic

A short fixed scope. We name what costs money or blocks the work, and the first action to take.
